Event Details

Laughter Yoga is a combination of yogic breathing and laughing.  The class begins and ends with some light yoga and in the middle, we do a variety of exercises designed to facilitate laughter.  (No, we don't laugh while doing yoga poses : )

And I'd like to invite you all to come this outdoor class! Why? Because it's great fun and great exercise! One minute of belly laughing is equivalent to ten minutes on a rowing machine!

Laughing relaxes the muscles, reduces stress hormones, releases endorphins, strengthens the immune system, reduces pain, gives you a cardio workout, reduces blood pressure, increases oxygen to the brain, reduces bad cholesterol, reduces hunger cravings!

Perhaps you are thinking, "I am too smart and serious to laugh for no reason. This laughter yoga will have no effect on me." Well, this class is for you.  Come, learn to laugh with abandon!

Suggested donation: $10.  Bring a yoga mat if you have one.  Bring friends, which you do have!

Led by Alicia Dattner, comedian, laughter yoga leader, writer, and faciliatator.
